AMFI’S GOT TALENT!

June 26, 2010 |  by annebritt  |  Blog, Fashion Connections

2 days ago, in the delightful atmosphere of CBK – one of Amsterdam’s most beautiful exhibition- and project houses – there was a true showcase of which upcoming design talents will graduate next year at AMFI. Backstage the pressure was on and models, make up artist, hair stylists, last minute helpers and the designers themselves were dazzling around in upper concentration.. or was it just blank panic? Making 3 entire outfits in just one semester, after several checks, lots of talk and even more corrections the 3rd year students were ready to show what they were capable of and that was, not surprisingly, a lot. The focus of most collections was on the technique which showed us a wide variety of unique sleeves, collars, closures and complicated patterns in women and in menswear. A few students showed their previous work in Odd magazine so we were there to check out their latest creations. Here are the highlights just selected for you to have a sneak peek in the AMFI scene!
